About sveltekitui
What is sveltekitui?
sveltekitui is a curated directory of Svelte UI libraries, component collections, and design systems. Whether you're building a dashboard, a marketing site, or a full-stack SvelteKit application, we help you find the right UI tools for the job — fast.
The Svelte ecosystem is growing quickly, and with that growth comes an overwhelming number of choices. We cut through the noise by cataloguing, categorizing, and honestly evaluating every library we list. No vanity inclusions, no pay-to-play placements.
Every library on sveltekitui is manually reviewed by our editorial team. We install it, read the docs, inspect the source, and test it in a real SvelteKit project before it ever appears on the site.
How we're different from sveltestarters.com
sveltestarters.com focuses on full project scaffolds — starter templates, boilerplates, and SvelteKit skeletons that help you kick off a brand-new project. It answers the question: "I'm starting a new project — what's the best foundation?"
sveltekitui, on the other hand, focuses on component-level libraries and design systems. It answers a different question: "I already have a project — what UI toolkit should I add to it?"
The two sites are complementary. They serve the same audience — Svelte and SvelteKit developers — but at different decision points in the development lifecycle.
Curation Criteria
A library is included in the directory only if it meets all of the following criteria:
- Supports Svelte 4, Svelte 5, or SvelteKit (ideally multiple versions).
- Actively maintained — meaningful commit activity within the last 12 months.
- Documented sufficiently for a developer to get started without reading source code.
- Provides a live demo, interactive playground, or screenshots that show the library in action.
Editor's Pick Criteria
Libraries that earn the Editor's Pick badge go above and beyond. We evaluate them on:
- Code quality and use of modern Svelte 5 patterns (runes, snippets, fine-grained reactivity).
- Documentation completeness — API references, guides, and examples that actually help.
- Accessibility built in, not bolted on — proper ARIA attributes, keyboard navigation, and focus management.
- Community adoption — downloads, GitHub stars, and active issue triage signal real-world trust.
- Real-world deployment evidence — production usage in shipped applications, not just toy demos.
Disclosures
Transparency matters. Here's what you should know about how we operate:
- Own product: svelteblocks.com is our own product. This relationship is disclosed on every page where it appears.
- Affiliate links: Some library links may be affiliate links. These are always clearly marked so you know when a link is commercial.
- Honest ratings: Ratings and reviews are honest regardless of any commercial relationship. We don't inflate scores for sponsors or partners.
- Editorial independence: All editorial decisions — what to include, how to rate it, whether it earns an Editor's Pick — are based solely on our published curation criteria.
